i watched the movie what women want the other night (hence the title), while the movie didn't leave the audience w/ a real answer, i thought i could enlighten some people. hopefully.

girls say they want a nice guy. the majority of girls are lying. nice guys usually aren't the hottest around. *there are exceptions to every rule* girls want a guy who is gorgeous. if he's mean to her or something to that effect, it doesn't matter b/c he's hot. it's even better b/c it gives her something to complain about to her friends.

there has to be attraction for every relationship. otherwise it's just a friendship. yeah it'd be great to be w/ a nice guy, but if the physical isn't there then it's not going anywhere. guys get so bent outta shape that girls complain to them that they want a nice guy when there's one right in front of them, but we can't help if we're not attracted to them.

it sounds incredibly superficial, but that's the way some of us are. i, for one, happen to give everyone (ok almost everyone) a chance and if he's nice, hope and pray that his appearance grows on me. sadly though, it's doesn't happen too often.

i'm the first to admit that i'm a flake. i cannot make up my mind. i am the queen of indecisiveness. don't ask me where i'd like to eat or what movie i wanna watch. i don't care. i can never decide. it's the same thing w/ guys. one minute i may like him, the next not even close to liking. like these two guys right now....one day i'm all gung ho and would so be all over that, then that night i'm like noooo....we're just friends or...he's not my type...

girls wanna play games....b/c they don't know what they want....we want the fairy tale...if it exists

in high school i always had plans for the weekends. so when ppl asked what i was doing i'd tell them. so i didn't think much of ppl asking.

then i went to college where we didn't make plans until an hour before we'd do then if that and ppl started asking more and more.

like this one guy who i hooked up w/ one night (sorta)...he would ask me every few days...one day he even asked 4 times. i definitely let him know that i was interested, but he didn't take the bait...so whatever i thought...

until this other guy and i became friends and he started asking the same question, "what are you doing tonight?" i assumed that he just wanted to know what was going on so that we could all meet up, but still i beame paranoid.

back here at home for the summer an old best friend w/ benefits started asking also "what are you doing tonight?" now since there's nothing to do here, i obviously thought he was just trying to find something to alleviate the boredom...still though....

just when i thought it was over, it happened again...last night at work...this guy found out that i was only 19. he's 20 but assumed i was 22-23 b/c of how old i look. then he asks "what are you doing tonight?" i shrugged and said nothing...but still to no avail it got me nowhere...he changed the subject and that was the end of that.

so just a piece of advice for all you boys out there...if you're gonna ask a girl "what are you doing tonight?" have a follow-up response in the event she doesn't turn you down....please ;)

(the following is an excerpt from an email from one of my best friends on why college was sooo great for us)

The way I look at it is, thats now our life. Think bout hs life and college life...Whats one big difference....FREEDOM. I think the main thing that attracts us to it is we can do WHATEVER we want WHENEVER we want and no one...well minus RAs can stop us (thanks kate...) Plus I dont know about your houses but I think KY is soo much prettier than Ohio. Like I LOVE driving through the mountains and walking back from class and seeing the mountains in the distance. I never really realized how much I loved that either until I went back to see Jon a few weeks ago and saw em. And I was like damn...Not only that but we've all started over, a new life...made some changes in ourselves, done some things wrong, som things bad, met new friends, made best ones....Now we've returned home....And well these changes/friends arent all accepted by our old lives. Plus I'm at the pooint where I want to move on I dont want my old life back I love my new one. It's not that Ive changed taht much but just being awawy from my house has helped me a lot, and believe it or not I am a lot less shy now than I was before I went to school. Granted its not nessearily MOREHEAD that was so great...it wouldve happend anywhere. However I seriously really doubt I wouldve met this many great people anywhere else. As another Ohio thing, people here are totally rude. Unfriendly, not respectful, just assholes in general. people in KY are soooooo much nicer. LIke they're totally the make yourself at home people. I dont really now how to explain it but you guys prolly know what Im talking about. Just like mary was in shock at how nice everyone was and its just a nicer place to be over all. And cave run is actually really really pretty and Im sure lukegi is in the day time. But you also have to consider that when there isnt anything to do thats when the fun begins. Long late night talks, trips to the C-store for movie night, sunday night rounds of connections w/the girls & WHISKEY YCUK!!!!!!!!!, trips to SMOKY VALLEY, tattoos are drawn, adventures in the library, trips to the tunnel at 1am....and the list could go on forever. And that really depressed me :( But another good thing about morehead actually is just the small classes & small classes. I mean at UK youd go out to a party and see maybe 2 peeople u know. Here u go and know almost everyone. True sometimes thats also a downfall but I like it that way. If we dont wanna see people we know thats when the road trips begin! :) So the way I look at it our lives in Morehead were awesome. Not morehead itself. But like me and u both said once court, its what u make of it and we made it fun. But how many other campuses have blow up games and the lawn night movie thing and all the stuff that went out on in ADUC...Its just little stuff.
