phone calls are expensive when they're long distance. not all of us have cell phones and even then you have to call during the peak times, which are like never. so the internet is my window to my friends...through AIM and MSN messenger. i have friends on each, msn is more for my home friends while aim is more of the morehead crowd, but still w/o either of these two programs i'b be lost.

it's the only way i've been able to keep in touch w/ a lot of ppl. i owe quite a bit to these services for keeping me connected for free. the only problem is that some of my favorite ppl are never on when i'm on. and when they are, it's only for a few minutes as we all have conflicting schedules. not to mention the time change. for everyone else it's nothing, but for me i have to calculate when i should get on to maximize my time best. for me midnight is nothing, but in WV or columbus or cincinnatti or wherever you may be, it's already 1am and time to hit the sheets. especially for those of you that work in the mornings and not at night like this poor soul here.

michigan is always on a different time than here in lp, but it only takes me 15 minutes to get there. yet, chicago is at least 40 minutes away, a good hour and a half if you're going to wrigley field or anywhere on the north side for that matter. downtown is a good hour via the skyway, though we're always on the same time as illinois is. south bend (or notre dame as many of you know it) is 30 minutes away and 6 months of the year they're an hour ahead. what the heck is up w/ how we do things here???

so when i'm down at morehead, i am an hour ahead of my parents all 10 months. it's really weird to have that....but whoa this got way off track so let's just say that i do try to get on and wait for all my kiddies to get on so i can talk to our hearts content, so bear w/ me...i tend to forget the time difference and i'm always an hour late, forgive me please....
