seems like instantly my postings have generated a great deal of interest. i guess being naive i didn't think many ppl from other countries who speak other languages would be reading this. a lot of things that i write are jokes that only a few ppl would understand and for that i apologize. but the one thing i ask from all my readers, is to please be positive about what you read. if you feel compelled to respond that's great, but don't derail others in their quest for finding truth through their writing. with that in mind i will now move on to my daily post.....

in a week or so there will be a new show on mtv called real life: i'm in a sorority. now i'll give you some background before i get into my story. my mom was in a sorority when she was in college, yet she like rarely talks about it. my sister joined one when she went to IU and that's all we heard about for like 4 years. so i go to college and first semester totally decline pledging or whatever. i come home to all my old high school friends and they were like "no way did i join one, they're not for me" which is what i thought, until i was once again tryin to please other ppl.

jen and leah were both members and begged me to rush. to please them, i did. i wasn't going to sign the bid once i got it, but for some weird reason, i did and i am glad that i made that decision.

ppl give sororities a bad name...i think the most common phrase in negation of sororities is "i don't buy my friends". well i think that is completely misleading. there are exactly 60 girls in my sorority. some i love to death and others i am not too fond of, but i don't pay money to be around them. i pay money for the upkeep of gamma phi at morehead state university. yeah i pay dues every semester, but what i've gained in one semester from gamma phi beta is well worth it. i have gotten to know girls that have taught me life lessons. i've learned about other cultures, states, and ways of life from these girls.

granted, i prolly wouldn't be friends w/ some of these girls if i wasn't gamma phi, but that's only b/c i would have never met these wonderful ppl...besides to quote an old cliche "don't knock it till you've tried it!"

and i have met a lot of guys......i'm 19 and single, of course that is important to me ;)

but no i do not drink beer, have sex, or have an IQ of 14. i am a blonde, blue eyed sorority girl who made the dean's list and who also doesn't use profanity....so don't judge a group of ppl by a stereotype, especially one that is soooo old and played out. get a clue....

i was watching undressed a little while ago and this guy said to this girl, "i like to hang out in sports bar..." and that got me thinking that i do too. so here's a list of things that i like, things i like to do, places i like to go, etc, so for some of you guys out there...take note ;)

*play nearly every sport imaginable
*go to the beach (this is a big one)
*movies (talk to me for 5 minutes and you'll see)

*cosby show, cheers, friends, real world, other than that i don't watch much tv unless i'm really bored

*mysteries (books, movies, real life)
*morehead (please i go to the school don't read anymore into it)

so if that's not a complete list i don't know what is...
